His credentials are M.B.B.S M.S. D.O. from Regional Institute of Ophthalmology – Chennai. He did his Vitreo Retinal fellowship at Sankara Nethralaya – Chennai. His Phaco emulsification training was at Kiryu Institute and Nishi Eye Hospital in Japan. He has attended State National and International Ophthalmic Conferences and has presented more than 200 Research and Scientific papers in these conferences. His experience compelled him to multiple his knowledge by training more than 150 Ophthalmologists in the procedure of Phacoemulsification around the globe. He is the first Retinal surgeon to introduce Green Laser for Diabetic retinopathy in India. Dr.Madhivanan Natarajan conducts several Instructional Courses and seminars at State and National conferences for practicing Ophthalmologists and Post graduate Students. At M. N. Eye Hospital he conducts Regular Training Programs for Ophthalmologists in the field of Phacoemulsification and Medical Retina.
